Transportation Endorsement (TE)

This WorkSafeBC Transportation Endorsement (TE) course is an eight (8) hour program focusing specifically on the transport of injured workers to medical aid. In order to participate in this training a candidate must hold one of a current OFA Level 1 (or equivalent), OFA Level 2, Emergency or Standard First Aid certificate. This certification is valid for three years upon successful completion of the course. In order to be successful, candidates must demonstrate practical skill competency.

Transportation Endorsement certificates are valid only as long as a participant holds a valid certificate as noted above.

The course curriculum includes:

  • Patient packaging for transport include supine and lateral positioning for trauma, ¾ prone drainage, and position of comfort
  • Review of patient assessment to an OFA Level 1 standard course protocols (Priority Action Approach)
  • Review of critical airway, breathing, and circulatory intervention with
  • C-Spine management as required

All courses are taught by certified WorkSafeBC Occupational First Aid Instructors, many of whom have had years of hands-on first aid experience but also many years of adult instructional experience. Upon successful completion, students will be issued a WorkSafe BC Occupational First Aid certificate with a three (3) year expiry.
