The Basic Life Support course recertification is designed for professionals in the health care field that work as pre-hospital or in-facility responders (e.g. ski patrol, nurses or nursing students, lifeguards, dentists, paramedics or firefighters), needing to renew their certification.
This course is geared towards high performance, team-based professional-level resuscitation. You will learn the skills to perform a rapid assessment, perform Basic Life Support (BLS) skills, and rapid defibrillation. Airway management and oxygen therapy can be added as additional certification to this course.
This course will certify participants for one year and will require re-certification prior to the expiry date.
Current holders of CPR HCP qualify to take a Basic Life Support re-certification.
Participants must be present for the entire course and pass the exam in order to pass the course.
